YTT 200
Bettyanne began practicing yoga years ago after multiple injuries. Yoga helped her heal, build strength, improve flexibility and return to all her favorite activities. Yoga also gave her something very unexpected: a sense of peace. She would leave a class feeling physically challenged and mentally whole. Yoga gave her the mental energy to tackle the next challenge in her day.
Betty is a 200 YTT yoga instructor. Since completing her certification several years ago, she has participated in ongoing instructor training, completing close to 100 hours on sequences, working to specific poses, working with athletes, and anatomy. In addition to being certified under Mindy Eisenberg, Director of Yoga Moves MS, she also works with veterans, special needs adults, seniors, and people experiencing back issues. She has been a member of the Yoga Moves MS teaching team since 2019.

Marcia considers teaching yoga to be a blessed experience. As a person with Multiple Sclerosis, Marcia is able to understand her students’ visual challenges, coordination problems, numbness, and even the MS “hug.” She knows from personal experience that yoga can and will make a difference. Although change may not be instant, she is confident that the change becomes apparent in how your body responds to continued practice and integration of breathing techniques.

Barbara is a 23 year yoga and meditation practitioner and E-RYT 200 having taught over 1000 hours of in person yoga classes. She brings her life experience as an elementary classroom teacher, mother and Reiki practitioner to her students. She lives to teach and is always curious about learning new things.
She joined the Yoga Moves MS teaching staff in 2016 and is grateful for Mindy’s adaptive yoga training and her mentors which gave her the essential tools to bring yoga to many people. Customizing smaller classes to meet individual student needs is her passion and this brings her much joy.
Barbara loves to prepare meals for her family and friends. Some of her interests include gardening, music, travel and collecting crystals. She visits the ocean whenever she can.
Barbara Baker
Barbara Baker began practicing yoga in 1977 after the birth of her second child. The breathing and concentration were familiar to her, and the stretching came naturally. She was hooked. She attended a Kripalu styled yoga training in 1982 as a huge fan of mind/body practice. Mindfulness is the inspiration for how she teaches. Surviving breast cancer, and meeting Christina Phipps, inspired her to obtain her RYT 200 certification (2011). Following that, she participated in Christina Phipps Foundation Yoga training. Teaching yoga, and sharing yoga with this special community brings her the greatest joy. In fact, she found a new calling! Her growth in yoga has led her to workshops in restorative yoga, yin yoga, and ultimately to receive her RYT 500 certification (2017). Life is a journey, and having yoga interwoven into her life’s path has been a blessing. As she continues to grow, she is happily adding studies in accessible yoga for the MS population. Having a family member with MS has inspired her to reach out and share the practice through the oMS community. In partnership with oMS, we welcome Barb to our team of teachers for our virtual classes.

Malorie started practicing yoga during her fitness fanatic phase, thinking it would be the perfect “rest day” activity. But after a low back injury turned her world upside down, her perspective on movement and healing shifted. A couple rounds of physical therapy, surgery, and frustration with lingering pain led Malorie to discover the transformative power of adaptive yoga. Through her LYT® Method training, she learned how to rewire movement patterns and rebuild strength, and now she is passionate about helping others regain confidence and freedom in their bodies.
Known for her creative use of yoga blocks and anatomy-focused instruction, she strives to make every class challenging, accessible, and fun, helping students move with purpose and joy.
